Maternal Mortality in the U.S.

We have a real problem in the United States. Women are dying in pregnancy, childbirth and in the postpartum period at alarming numbers, and black women are disproportionately affected. Black women are over 3 times more likely to die from childbirth related causes than white women. Mari talks with Samantha Griffin of DC Metro Maternity to not only educate listeners on the topic but find ways to combat the numbers.
